Warranty Home does not collect your data.
Everything you put into the app — your warranties, receipt photos, and display name — is stored only on your device. There is no account, no sign-up, no server, no analytics, and no advertising. Nothing you enter is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
We cannot see your data, because we never receive it.

All of the following is stored exclusively in on-device storage and never leaves your device:
| Data | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| Product name, brand, model, serial number | Warranty tracking |
| Purchase date, price, invoice number | Warranty period calculation and your records |
| Warranty duration and end date | Expiry tracking and reminders |
| Notes | Your own reference |
| Receipt photos and product images | Proof of purchase and visual identification |
| Display name (optional) | Personalising the greeting on the home screen |
You are not asked for an email address, a password, or any account credentials, because there is no account system.
There are no third-party SDKs of any kind in this app. No data is shared with anyone, because no data is gathered.
When you scan a receipt, text recognition runs entirely on your device:
In both cases, the receipt image and the text extracted from it never leave your device and are never sent to any OCR service, server, or third party. This was a deliberate design choice — receipts are financial documents.
The app asks for permission to use your camera and photo library only so you can capture or select a receipt image to attach to a warranty.
The app schedules local notifications on your device to remind you 30 days before, 7 days before, and on the day a warranty expires.
These are generated entirely on your device by iOS. There is no push notification server, and no notification content is transmitted anywhere.
Warranty Home works fully offline and does not require an internet connection.
The only time the app opens a network connection is when you deliberately tap a link to this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service, which opens the page in your browser. No app data is included in that request.
Because your data is stored only on your device, you are in complete control of it:
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| View all your data | It is all visible in the app |
| Correct your data | Edit any warranty record in the app |
| Delete individual records | Delete any warranty from its detail screen |
| Export all your data | Profile → Export My Data (produces a JSON file you can save or share) |
| Delete everything | Profile → Delete All My Data, or delete the app from your device |
Deleting the app removes all of its stored data from your device. We retain nothing, because we hold nothing.
Data protection laws such as the GDPR (EU/EEA), the CCPA (California), and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 give you rights over personal data held by a company — including access, correction, erasure, and portability.
Warranty Home is designed so that these rights are exercised directly in the app, without needing to contact us: your data is on your device, you can read it, edit it, export it as JSON, and delete it at any time.
We do not hold any copy of your personal data and therefore cannot access, produce, correct, or delete it on your behalf. If you have questions about this, please contact us using the details in Section 14.
Warranty Home does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. The app is rated for general audiences and contains no user-generated content sharing, messaging, or advertising.
Your data is protected by your device's own security — passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS's app sandbox, which prevents other apps from reading Warranty Home's storage.
Please note that data stored on your device is only as secure as the device itself. We recommend using a device passcode and keeping iOS up to date. Because your data exists only on your device, it is not backed up to any server by us — if you lose your device, you lose the data unless you have exported it or your device backup includes app data.
If this policy changes, the "Last Updated" date above will change. If a future version of the app ever introduces optional cloud sync or accounts, we will publish an updated policy and ask for your explicit consent before any data leaves your device.
